Our mission

At GVN, our mission is to meet the spiritual needs of individuals in Central and North Central West Virginia, extending our outreach to audiences nationwide and globally through the internet and partner stations. Our diverse array of Bible-based programming is designed to offer strength, hope, and guidance for navigating the challenges of modern life. Prioritizing family values, our programming serves all age groups, providing content suitable for families, alongside dedicated programs for children and teenagers. We are dedicated to being a source of blessing and support for individuals of all demographics, including men, women, senior citizens, and those who are homebound.

Our vision

Our vision for the Gospel Voice Network is to create a radio destination where God is glorified—a place where listeners encounter a clear presentation of the Gospel and have the opportunity to embrace Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We aim to be a beacon on the dial, inspiring believers to compassionately reach out to the lost, equipping them with knowledge on cultural issues so they can confidently offer a biblical perspective in their daily lives, and offering Christ-centered music across a spectrum of genres to uplift and refresh the spirit.

Our Story

WVGV is a ministry outreach of Araiza Revival Ministries (ARM), Inc. of West Union, WV, a non-profit organization. ARM was granted a construction permit from the F.C.C. in August, 2008. Our goal was to be on the air broadcasting by August, 2009. The F.C.C. allowed 36 months from the date the Construction Permit was granted to have the radio station fully operating. We began broadcasting July 23, 2011. Since then, we have added internet streaming radio, as well as live programing, at the WVGV Studios We believe this radio station was God’s plan from the beginning and has been raised up in His time for the strengthening of the saints and for the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

WVGV features Gospel music categories including a mixture of traditional church, classic Christian, soft melody, mountain melody/bluegrass, southern style, and instrumental music.

WVGV provides local and regional news, weather reports and updates, national news at the top of each hour, as well as a community bulletin board.

WVGV provides our community with helpful insight in regards to education, health and finances.

WVGV broadcasts the life changing message of the Gospel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

WVGV is a listener supported Gospel radio station.

Our Beliefs

Positional Statement

Because “All scripture is given by inspiration of God,“ we (WVGV 89.7FM) unashamedly believe and passionately communicate the fundamental doctrines of Biblical Christianity as taught in the Scriptures and unapologetically the Authorized King James Version of the Bible – the deity of Christ Jesus, His virgin birth, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven to intercede for us, salvation by grace through faith, and His imminent return (pre-tribulation) to take His bride, the New Testament saints, to Himself. We believe that Israel is God’s chosen people and affirm our prayers and support. We hold to the historic Baptist position of Biblical separation. We are Biblical Fundamentalists and repudiate the liberal and unscriptural religious trends of the day: Ecumenicalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, and the excesses of the Charismatic Movement.

Where We Stand On The:

SCRIPTURES

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the entire Bible, both the Old and New Testaments. We further accept the Mazoretic and Textus Receptus manuscripts from which came the King James Bible and accept the King James Bible as the divinely preserved and perfect Word of God for the English-speaking world.

TRINITY

We believe that God is a person, eternally existing as a Trinity, manifesting Himself in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We further believe that these three are one God, but separate in personality and work.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, eternally existing yet born of a virgin. Being God, He lived a sinless life, making His death on the Cross both sufficient and substitutionary for the sins of the whole world. After making atonement for the sins of the world with His own blood, He ascended into Heaven with a glorified body where He is seated at the right hand of the Father as Head of the Church, making intercession for the saints as our High Priest.

SALVATION

We believe that man is lost in sin and must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. We believe that for lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential. The salvation of a man’s soul is by grace alone through personal faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross.

CHURCH

We believe that the local church is a group of believers baptized in water; assembled together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission; and preaching the gospel to every creature. We believe God’s program today is centered in the local New Testament church, which is independent and missionary minded.

SECOND COMING

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is coming again in the air at any moment to rapture His Church and to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a seven-year period called the Tribulation, after which Christ shall return visibly to the earth with His saints to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all the ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while believers will spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord.
